Ma3Route

Ma3Route is a crowd-sourcing platform for transport and traffic information. Users share information as free unstructured text through mobile/web applications and social media platforms.

Founder and technical lead for Ma3Route.

Conceptualized and implemented most of the platform. Leveraged natural language processing techniques in order to categorize user updates based on traffic severity and conduct named entity recognition to estimate the location for each update. This enabled the originally unstructured text information to be overlaid on a map with traffic notifications sent to users based on road name preferences and proximity.
